One of our wonderful art patrons recently appealed to us to use our email list to help them promote their workshop. We had to respectfully decline their request because we take the privacy of those who share their information with us very seriously. We want to maintain the highest integrity with our patrons and use their very special information which they give us the privilege of having only to share with them super important and integral Jan's Art Shop related events ( which we do consider to be of the highest artistic content ).
That being said we can still mention their event here in our blog and help them that way.
Please note that the following commentary does not necessarily represent the opinions and views of Jan's Art Shop.
Please be aware of the following altruistic event in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA;
"Finding Empathy in a Radical World"
Workshop: Friday March 17, 2017 & Saturday March 18th 10am - 4pm
Increasing border challenges and deportation issues have become front and center. This creates enormous levels of fear that lead to anger, disagreement and distrust in our communities. We all need to increase our ability to speak nonviolently and effectively to protect our families and community.
The Nonviolent Communication (NVC) process trains us for communication skills that can result in strong, peaceful win - win outcomes. Learn how to release outmoded communication habits that prevent you from positive conflict resolution.
Jack Lehman & Pan Vera are Center for Nonviolent communication Trainers: who will focus on how to use NVC to bring agreement into your personal and political dialogues with understanding and empathy. We can deal with conflicts more successfully with communication that recognizes interpersonal and intercultural differences.
Be ready to gain more clarity about your own communication style, expressing deeper empathy and compassion with a new awareness: a new set of tools.
